Course Overview

Foundation of Ayurveda Level II is a deepening journey into the subtle layers of this ancient science of life. Building on the basics, this course guides you to refine your understanding of how body, mind, and energy are intimately connected. Through practical teachings and embodied exploration, you will learn to recognize patterns within yourself and work with them in a more conscious, supportive way. It is an invitation to move beyond theory into quiet, lived wisdom, where awareness becomes a tool for balance, vitality, and inner clarity.

What You’ll Learn

Over six weeks, you will revisit and deepen your understanding of the doshas, exploring their nuances and how they express within you. You will study the dhātus (bodily tissues) and uncover their connection to the emotional and mental body, gaining insight into how imbalances manifest on multiple levels. The course will guide you through the subtle energies of Ojas, Tejas, and Prāna, helping you understand and nurture your life force. Through the art of observation, you will be introduced to reading the face and the tongue as maps of internal health, revealing both physical imbalances and held emotional patterns. Alongside this, you will explore gentle herbal support to restore balance. By the end of the course, you will feel more attuned to your body’s signals and be equipped with practical tools to support your health in a grounded, intuitive, and sustainable way.

What To Expect

Each live session blends theory, guided practice, and open Q&A. Victoria teaches with clarity, humor, and ease, making ancient wisdom understandable and applicable in modern life.

You’ll have space to ask questions, share experiences, and connect with a community of like-minded students.

You’ll also learn how Ayurveda can help you personalize your yoga, pranayama, meditation, and mantra practice, offering insight into early signs of imbalance and natural ways to rebalance.

6-Week Program- Course Flow

Week 1: Revisiting the Doshas

We refresh and refine your understanding of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, focusing on their subtleties and changing expressions. You’ll deepen your perception and reconnect with these principles in a more embodied way.

Week 4: Doshas in Rhythm – Seasons & Time of Day

We explore how the doshas move through the cycles of seasons and daily rhythms. You’ll learn to align your lifestyle with these patterns for greater balance.

Week 2: The Dhātus – Tissues of the Body & Mind

We explore the seven dhātus from both physical and emotional perspectives. You’ll understand how these layers are interconnected and how imbalances manifest in body and mind.

Week 5: The Face as a Map – Sattva, Rajas & Tamas

You’ll be introduced to reading the face as a reflection of inner states and emotional patterns. This is approached with awareness and compassion, without judgment.

Week 3: Ojas, Tejas & Prāna – The Subtle Energies

We revisit the subtle energies of Ojas, Tejas, and Prāna as expressions of vitality and life force. You’ll learn to recognize and support these energies in daily life.

Week 6: The Tongue as a Diagnostic Tool & Herbal Support

We explore the tongue as a map of internal health, observing its signs and connections to organs. You’ll also learn basic herbal support to restore balance.

This course is for those who already have a foundational understanding of Ayurveda and feel called to go deeper. It is for practitioners, students, and curious individuals who wish to expand their perception beyond the surface level of health and explore the subtle relationships between the physical body, emotions, and energy. It is especially supportive for those who want to integrate Ayurvedic principles into their daily lives, personal healing journeys, or work with others in a more refined and intuitive way.

About the Teacher

Victoria Hyndman is an experienced Ayurvedic practitioner, yoga teacher, and marma-therapist whose deep immersion in classical Ayurvedic science spans more than seventeen years of dedicated study with Vasant Lad at The Ayurvedic Institute. Guided by his timeless wisdom, she has cultivated an authentic and integrative practice that brings together Ayurvedic diagnostics, yoga asana, pranayama, and marma therapy, supporting women’s health, fertility, and postnatal well-being with grounded compassion and clarity.
